Na In Woo In Talks Along With Kim Sejeong For Remake Of Japanese Drama “Sleepeeer Hit!”

Na In Woo may be working with Kim Sejeong on a new drama!

On December 29, Xportsnews reported that Na In Woo has been cast as the male lead for the upcoming drama “Today’s Webtoon” (literal title). In response to the report, a source from his agency Cube Entertainment clarified, “He has received an offer to star in ‘Today’s Webtoon,’ and he is in the process of reviewing the offer.”

“Today’s Webtoon” is a Korean remake of the popular 2016 Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!” The drama will tell the story of a former judo athlete who joins the webtoon editorial department as a new employee and struggles in order to mature into a true webtoon editor. “Today’s Webtoon” will also depict the competitive nature of the field in South Korea. Currently, Kim Sejeong is in talks to play the leading role of rookie contract employee On Ma Eum.

If Na In Woo accepts the role, he will be staring as the male lead who Sakaguchi Kentaro played in the original drama. He is a sales team employee who looks back on himself while watching On Ma Eum sincerely take on the challenge of doing her best. They eventually become friends who support each other while focusing on their respective fields.

Na In Woo made his acting debut through the 2013 musical “Bachelor’s Vegetable Store.” Afterwards, he starred in dramas including “Shine or Be Mad,” “My Mom,” “Spark,” “Golden Pouch,” “Unasked Family,” “Mystic Pop-Up Bar,” “Mr. Queen,” and “At a Distance, Spring Is Green,” as well as the film “Twenty.”

After starring in “River Where the Moon Rises” earlier this year, Na In Woo became further recognized for his acting talent, and he has since then been cast in “Her Bucket List” with Kim So Hye and the upcoming drama “The Jinx’s Lover” with Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun.

“Today’s Webtoon” is slated to air via SBS in 2022.
