Park Kyu Chae was a South Korean actor. He graduated from Yangjeong High School and later attended Korea University but dropped out of the Agriculture program. He later completed the coursework in Journalism at the same university and obtained a master's degree in Business Administration from Kyung Hee University. He made his debut as a theater actor in 1957 and later became a voice actor as part of MBC's 1st open recruitment for voice actors in 1961.

In addition to his acting activities, he served as the chairman of the Korean TV Broadcasting Actors Association in 1976, the director of the Korea Broadcasting and Cultural Center in 1986, and the president of the Korea Film Promotion Corporation in 1997, among many other roles. He also was an adjunct professor of the Department of Performance and Media at Paichai University, an adjunct professor of the Department of Theater and Film at Hanil Presbyterian University, and a visiting professor at the Department of Culture and Arts at the Graduate School of Social Culture at Hannam University, guiding students who aspired to become actors. He appeared in many historical dramas and, later in his career, began portraying politicians.

On July 1, 2023, his family reported he passed away after being hospitalized for pneumonia. The funeral service took place at Vinso Danwon Hospital’s Funeral and Cultural Center in Ansan on July 3.
