Huang Hai Bing is a Chinese actor born in Shanghai and graduated in 1996 from the Department of Performance, Central Academy of Drama. While still at the academy in 1994, he played the lead role in martial arts drama "The Book and Sword". In 2002, he was awarded the "Double Ten Best Actors" of the 2nd China TV Art. In 2010, he won the Best Actor Award in the Fashion Ceremony. In 2018, the military drama "Hot Blood Banner" in which he played figurehead Mao Zedong, won the 31st TV series "Flying Award" and the "Outstanding TV Drama Award for Major Revolutionary Historical Themes".

Huang is the first actor to span the works of three martial arts masters, namely 1993 Chen Jialuo of Jin Yong's Shujian, 2001 Shen Lang of Gu Long's Wu Lin Wai Shi and 2003 Zhang Dan Feng of Liang Yusheng's Ping Zong Xia Ying.

Huang married Yan Yan, a teacher of Beijing Dance Academy in September 2006 and divorced in April 2012. In November 2013, he married Chinese actress Zhen Xi (甄锡) in her hometown Liuzhou, Guangxi. They have a son in 2014 and a daughter in 2017.
