Production Teams Of JTBC’s New Drama Release Apology Regarding Recent Incident At Hospital

 

The production teams of “Although I Am Not a Hero” (literal title) have released a statement regarding a recent issue that surfaced.

Previously, a post was uploaded on an online community, writing, “The drama production team is too harsh. My wife was in the emergency room, so I was rushing to her, but they stopped me from going because they were filming a drama. Fortunately, my wife was okay, but I felt like I would throw a fit if something happened [to her].”

As this gave rise to a controversy over the production team’s abuse of power, the hospital’s side added an explanation on September 11 that it was a certain section that was controlled by the production team and that the visitors’ movements were not obstructed.

Later that day, the production team released the following statement:

"This is SLL and STORY & PICTURES MEDIA, the production companies of “Although I Am Not a Hero.”

We would like to inform you regarding the filming of “Although I Am Not a Hero” at the hospital which took place on September 10.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused to the guardian even though we filmed without entirely blocking the visitors’ movement after consulting with the hospital.

We will pay even closer attention and make every effort to avoid any inconvenience during filming. Thank you."

JTBC’s new drama “Although I Am Not a Hero” tells the story of a supernatural family who lost their powers. The drama will be directed by Cho Hyun Tak, who helmed the dramas “Maids,” “Mirror of the Witch,” “SKY Castle,” and “Snowdrop,” and will be scripted by writer Joo Hwa Mi, who wrote dramas including “Waiting for Love,” “Marriage, Not Dating,” “Introverted Boss,” and “Meow, the Secret Boy.” Jang Ki Yong stars as Bok Gwi Joo, a man who lost his psychic power due to depression, whereas Chun Woo Hee plays Do Da Hae, a suspicious woman who appears in front of Bok Gwi Joo.
