MBC’s upcoming drama “A Good Day to Be a Dog” shared more stills of Cha Eun Woo and his transformation into a math teacher!

Based on a webtoon, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” is a fantasy romance drama about Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young), a woman who is cursed to transform into a dog when she kisses a man. However, the only person who can undo her curse is her colleague Jin Seo Won (ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo), who is afraid of dogs due to a traumatic event he can no longer remember.

Cha Eun Woo stars as Jin Seo Won, a sharp and handsome high school math teacher who is terrified of dogs due to a past incident.

The newly released stills capture Cha Eun Woo’s transformation into Jin Seo Won. With his clean cut style and appearance, he perfectly looks the part of a teacher, especially the way he carefully observes his students with his arm crossed and how he stands in front of the chalkboard with his glasses on.

On his reason for picking this project, Cha Eun Woo shared, “Personally, I like dogs, and I thought that the subject of turning into a dog when kissed is interesting and exciting, so I chose [this project]. I think this unique topic is our drama’s charm.”

Regarding his role, Cha Eun Woo elaborated, “He is a character who appears cold on the outside due to his fear of dogs stemming from childhood trauma, but he is a warmhearted character.” He continued, “I like math, and [my character’s] job is a math teacher in the drama, so I wanted to express this in a more fun and three-dimensional manner.”

Cha Eun Woo also dished on elements he focused on while acting as Jin Seo Won. He shared, “In order to properly capture how Jin Seo Won transforms while being together with Hae Na, who has a completely opposite disposition as him, I think I talked with the director and scriptwriter for each scene to create them one by one.” Furthermore, the actor remarked, “I’m also cold on the outside and warm on the inside, and I think those elements are similar to Seo Won. The aspect that is different is that I like dogs, but Seo Won is scared of them.”

For key words to describe his character, Cha Eun Woo chose “math,” “uncle,” and “Hae Na.” He explained, “Since Jin Seo Won is a character who is a math teacher, I don’t think I can separate ‘math’ from him, and I picked ‘uncle’ and ‘Hae Na’ because he greatly treasures his nephew Yul and Hae Na.”

Finally, Cha Eun Woo concluded, “‘A Good Day to Be a Dog’ is a lovable project like it says in the [Korean] title, so please show lots of interest and love.”

“A Good Day to Be a Dog” will premiere on October 11 at 9 p.m. KST and broadcast the first and second episodes consecutively in the first week.
