Yoo Ah In And Steven Yeun’s Film “Burning” Nominated For 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards

“Burning” has been nominated for the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards!
On December 10, this year’s nominations by the Broadcast Film Critics and Television Journalists Associations were announced.
“Burning” is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film alongside other nominees including “Capernaum,” “Cold War,” “Roma,” and “Shoplifters.”
On the previous day (December 9), “Burning” and “Shoplifters” won Best Foreign Language Film at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA). Steven Yeun was also awarded Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film.
“Burning” was well-received at the 71st Cannes Film Festival where its trailer was played ahead of its premiere, and has received numerous accolades worldwide. It was recently named Best Foreign Language Film by the Toronto Film Critics Association and was chosen as the Korean film to be submitted to the 91st Academy Awards’ Best Foreign Language Film category. Yoo Ah In was also included in the New York Times’ list of “The Best Actors of 2018.”
“Burning” is based on Japanese writer Haruki Murakami’s short story “Barn Burning” and tells the story of the mysterious relationship between three young characters played by Yoo Ah In, Steven Yeun, and Jeon Jong Seo.
