“My Strange Hero” is about a man named Kang Bok Soo (played by Yoo Seung Ho) who returns to his old high school to get revenge after he was expelled as a student due to false accusations. He, however, unexpectedly reunites with his first love Son Soo Jung (played by Jo Bo Ah) who is now a teacher at the school.
On December 7, the cast attended a press conference for the drama.
Speaking about his character in his first romantic comedy, Yoo Seung Ho began, “There are times when people get ambitious about doing something they hadn’t done before. For starters, I didn’t try to appear really cool. I let everything go, and I think that expression is the most fitting.”
He continued, “Throwing things around carelessly was actually more similar to Kang Bok Soo’s character when I saw the edited video [of my acting], and I thought it’d be a better way to portray him. It’s not that hard to let things go, but the problem was that I wasn’t really used to doing these things. While filming this drama, I learned a little about how to let things go. While filming and seeing myself let more things go, I asked the director, ‘Is it okay to do it like this?’ and he liked it.”
He added, “I think you’ll be able to see a character that’s different than the ones you’ve seen so far.”
“My Strange Hero” will premiere on December 10, and will be available on Dramacool!
