The Monday-Tuesday drama has captivated viewers, reaching 7.5 percent in viewership ratings in just two episodes. The drama tells the story of King Yi Heon, who finds a clown called Ha Seon who looks exactly like him and convinces him to switch positions for a time being in order to escape from people who are trying to take his life.
The new stills show just how much danger Ha Seon is in as he faces external threats that are trying to end him. He is on hunting grounds but from the looks of it, he has become the hunted instead of the hunter. Ha Seon has a tense expression on his face as he aims an arrow at something or someone. Meanwhile, Jin Pyung Goon (Lee Moo Saeng), a member of the opposition group that is trying to overthrow the king, and chief royal secretary Lee Gyu (Kim Sang Kyung) are there as well, making viewers curious to know what happens to Ha Seon.
The production staff stated, “Ha Seon has agreed to become the fake king, and he will begin learning just how much he’s really in. He will try to get stronger in order to seek revenge, and viewers can expect a thrilling story of his fight against those who try to overthrow the king.”
“The Crowned Clown” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. KST and the next episode will air on January 14. Catch up with the latest episode below!
