KBS has released new photos of WEi’s Kim Yo Han, Cho Yi Hyun, and Chu Young Woo in “School 2021”!

The eighth installment in KBS’s popular “School” drama series, “School 2021” will tell the story of high school students choosing to follow their dreams instead of just preparing for college entrance exams. The coming-of-age tale will follow the growth, friendships, and romances of 18-year-olds facing an uncertain future.

Kim Yo Han will star in the drama as Gong Ki Joon, a former Taekwondo athlete who must give up on his dream due to an injury, while Cho Yi Hyun will play his first love Jin Ji Won, who is determined to achieve her dream of becoming a carpenter. Chu Young Woo will play Jung Young Joo, a mysterious transfer student with a past connection to Gong Ki Joon.

The first set of photos show Gong Ki Joon and Jin Ji Won in their school uniforms. Gong Ki Joon looks at Jin Ji Won with a blank expression, but she looks back at him with a tense expression, showcasing the difference in their personalities. Jin Ji Won’s passion and determination is also shown as she sports a headband that reads “This is wrongful termination” while keeping one arm firm in the air. The producers of “School 2021” commented, “As they’re not adults, 18-year-old Gong Ki Joon and Jin Ji Won still struggle to deal with their own emotions. We hope you relate to their journey of discovering their own feelings and nervously finding out whether the other feels the same way.”

The stills with Jung Young Joo and Gong Ki Joon feature a tense moment as Jung Young Joo gazes sharply at Gong Ki Joon. Despite Jung Young Joo’s brutal facial expression, Gong Ki Joon does not back down and instead stares right back at him, appearing as if something might happen between them.

Although Gong Ki Joon has an incredibly indifferent personality and Chu Young Woo is cold and grumpy, they two will showcase an unlikely bromance chemistry. Viewers can look forward to finding out what exactly led to this confrontation and what their mysterious history is.
