Watch: Woo Do Hwan, Bona, And Cha Hak Yeon Step Up To Help Others Get Justice In 1st Teaser For MBC’s Upcoming Historical Drama

Mar 1, 2023

Woo Do Hwan and WJSN’s Bona’s new historical drama has released its first teaser!

MBC’s “Joseon Attorney” (literal translation) tells the story of an oejibu (attorney in Joseon Dynasty) who takes revenge on an enemy that caused the death of his parents through a trial. Although the drama starts with revenge, it will depict the growth of the protagonist who gradually becomes a real attorney that cares for the people and exemplifies how revenge stems from loneliness.

Woo Do Hwan stars as the charming attorney Kang Han Soo, while Bona plays the caring Princess Lee Yeon Joo. VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon takes on the role of Yoo Ji Seon, the only son of the most prestigious family in Joseon Dynasty who has the highest-ranking government position in Hanseongbu.

The drama’s first teaser begins with mobs of angry citizens fighting for justice. The main trio is then introduced along with the phrase “law belongs to the people, not to the authorities,” raising questions about how they’ll help locals fight for their rights.

Kang Han Soo confidently emerges from an excited crowd looking pleased while holding up a book of laws. Although the playful Kang Han Soo is always joking around, he’s also an influential attorney with a clear ability to sway people. Princess Lee Yeon Joo also appears with a bright smile as she waves to citizens, while Yoo Ji Seon looks deep in thought, leaving viewers curious as to how he will get along with the other characters.

Following a solemn view of the King and his followers, the teaser reads, “He who will listen to the people’s grievances.” Kang Han Soo then states with confidence, “I’m oejibu Kang Han Soo.” As he places a comforting arm around a dejected citizen, Kang Han Soo adds, “Do not feel intimidated. Lawsuits are all about momentum.”
