Watch: Byeon Woo Seok Is Confused By Kim Hye Yoon's Strange Actions In "Lovely Runner" Preview

Get ready for the premiere of “Lovely Runner”!

Based on a popular web novel and penned by “True Beauty” writer Lee Si Eun, “Lovely Runner” is a new time-slip romance drama that asks the question: “What would you do if you had the opportunity to save your ultimate bias?” Kim Hye Yoon stars as Im Sol, a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), who goes back in time to save him.

In the newly released preview for episode 1, Ryu Sun Jae approaches Im Sol, who appears to be crying while crouched over in front of a bridge. Ryu Sun Jae pokes her and asks, “What are you doing?” only to cause Im Sol to tip over completely. She feebly asks, “I’m dead, right?”

When Im Sol sees Ryu Sun Jae, she mutters, “A ghost?” However, quickly realizing Sun Jae is in front of her, Im Sol begins to sob and say, “It’s true, it’s true. I can see Sun Jae. That means I died.” Believing the bridge to be the road connecting them to the afterlife, Im Sol continues, “Actually, it’s for the best. I’ll go with you so that you’re not lonely on your way. But what do I do about my poor mom? Mom… Grandma… No, we haven’t crossed this bridge yet, so there should be a way. Let’s go back together. Don’t ever cross this bridge.”

Confused, Sun Jae explains that he has to “cross over” to get home. Im Sol hugs him from behind to stop him from crossing the bridge, and Sun Jae bolts away from her and grabs a taxi instead. Im Sol finally wonders, “A taxi? In the afterlife?”

“Lovely Runner” will premiere on August 8 at 8:50 p.m. KST and be available on Dramacool.
