“The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” has revealed Ryeoun as the drama’s mystery man!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, SBS’s “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” is a mystery romance drama about an unconventional boarding house and three students who stay there as lodgers. Shin Ye Eun stars as Yoon Dan Oh, the owner of boarding house Yihwawon, while Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo play three “flower scholars” who rent rooms—and are each hiding their own secrets.

Although Yoon Dan Oh and Kang San initially clashed, bickering at any and every moment, the two eventually began developing romantic feelings for one another while working together to track down the dethroned crown prince Lee Seol.

Previously in Episode 8, Kang San was suspected to be a watchman protecting Lee Seol, which gave him no choice but to reveal himself as the missing dethroned crown prince who hid at Yihwawon.

In line with this reveal was the unveiling of the mystery man in the drama’s teaser poster that was released in February. The initial poster featured Shin Ye Eun tightly embracing an unidentified man, with the poster cutting off at his shoulders and thus hiding his face.

Now, “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” has released the full version of this special poster, revealing Ryeoun as the mystery man! The poster captures the emotional embrace between Lee Seol and Yoon Dan Oh, who are reuniting years after first meeting at Yihwawon where they were each other’s saviors.

While Yoon Dan Oh and Lee Seol are wrapped in a tight hug, the two do not lock eyes. Yoon Dan Oh appears determined to hold in her tears, while Lee Seol’s expression is sad, soft, and charismatic all at once. Their embrace reflects their determination to protect each other, foreshadowing the tough future ahead of them.

The producers of “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” shared, “The special poster completes a sensuous cut of the petal-like heart-fluttering and dire feelings that Yoon Dan Oh and Lee Seol have for each other. The special poster that symbolizes the official start of part two has been released, after the reveal of Lee Seol’s identity, which is the drama’s axis of reversal.” The production team also expressed their wish for viewers to watch the remaining episodes while enjoying making guesses about the upcoming stories.
