“The Last Empress” Enjoys Ratings Boost For Highly-Anticipated Finale

SBS’s hit drama “The Last Empress” ended with a bang!

The popular Wednesday-Thursday drama, which was extended by four episodes, came to an end on February 21. According to Nielsen Korea, the finale of “The Last Empress” drew average viewership ratings of 14.1 percent during its first half and 16.5 percent during its second, marking a considerable 2.7 percent increase from the night before.
KBS 2TV’s “Liver or Die” also enjoyed a 2.1 percent increase in its viewership ratings from the previous night, scoring average ratings of 12.7 percent and 14.4 percent for its two parts.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Spring Turns to Spring” scored average viewership ratings of 2.1 percent and 2.4 percent for the night.
Starting March 6, SBS’s new drama “Big Issue,” starring Joo Jin Mo and Han Ye Seul, will be taking over the time slot previously occupied by “The Last Empress.”
