“The Fiery Priest” Continues To Rise As It Hits New Personal Best In Viewership Ratings

According to statistics released for this week’s episodes by Nielsen Korea, “The Fiery Priest” has hit its all-time high in viewership ratings. Episodes 13 and 14 airs on March 8, and scored nationwide ratings of 14.5 percent and 16.6 percent respectively. On March 9, Episodes 15 and 16 took in ratings of 12.5 percent and 16.1 percent.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, viewership peaked at an all-time high for the drama at 19.7 percent with episode 14. The drama has also been doing well with its 2049 target age bracket (viewers between the ages of 20 and 49), scoring a 9.4 percent with episode 16 and showing a 0.7 percent increase from the week before.
“The Fiery Priest” tells the story of a priest (Kim Nam Gil), a detective (Kim Sung Kyun), and a prosecutor (Honey Lee) as they team up following the mysterious death of an elderly priest. The stellar cast is bolstered by a script that uses black comedy to provide social commentary, brings laughter with parodies, and keeps viewers on the edge of their seat with action-packed scenes.
