Shin Sung Rok Suffers Injury On Set Of “The Last Empress”

Shin Sung Rok has suffered an injury on set of SBS’s “The Last Empress.”

On December 19, a source from Shin Sung Rok’s agency HB Entertainment stated, “While filming for ‘The Last Empress’ yesterday [December 18], Shin Sung Rok fractured his toe. As he is scheduled to undergo surgery today [December 19], he will be returning to the drama set tomorrow after receiving treatment at the hospital.”
The source from his agency also explained, “There were no other injuries outside of his toe injury.”
Shin Sung Rok currently stars in “The Last Empress” as the emperor Lee Hyuk. The drama is set in an alternate reality where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy. Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk also appear in this Wednesday-Thursday drama.
