JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdalri” has shared new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

Helmed by “When the Camellia Blooms” director Cha Young Hoon, “Welcome to Samdalri” stars Ji Chang Wook as Jo Yong Pil, a man who has faithfully stayed in his hometown on Jeju Island all his life in order to protect its residents. Shin Hye Sun plays Jo Sam Dal, who grew up together with Jo Yong Pil as his close childhood friend. Unlike Jo Yong Pil, who was content to remain in his hometown Samdal, Jo Sam Dal made it her mission to get out of their small town and move to Seoul.

Previously, Jo Yong Pil and Jo Sam Dal reunited for the first time in eight years after their breakup. During the process, Jo Yong Pil misunderstood and thought that Jo Sam Dal was having dangerous thoughts, and Jo Yong Pil even fell in the water trying to “rescue” her, only to be saved by Jo Sam Dal who is skilled at swimming.

The newly released stills depict Jo Yong Pil and Jo Sam Dal glaring at each other as they hold onto handfuls of seaweed, making viewers curious to find what situation will unfold.

According to the preview for episode 4, Jo Yong Pil and Jo Sam Dal appear to have different memories of their breakup. Sam Dal remarks, “You broke up with me—I didn’t break up with you,” making viewers more curious about the nature of their past relationship.

The production team stated, “A seaweed fight breaks out between Yong Pil and Sam Dal, shaking up Samdalri once more,” asking viewers to anticipate why the two are throwing seaweed at each other.

The next episode of “Welcome to Samdalri” airs on December 10 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
