Recap Thailand Drama "The Miracle of Teddy Bear" Episode 13

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 13 begins with a crestfallen Nut asking Tofu if Tarn really is the man he remembers. Nut is uncomfortable and scared at the revelation that Tofu and Tarn know each other. Tofu asks Nut the tough question if he is still in love with Tarn, to which Nut replies that he doesn’t know but, he still really does love Tofu. Later, we see Prib apologizing Nut for causing him and Tofu hurt.

The group meets Saen and Jan in the hospital who are there to visit Tarn and, later go out for a family meal. At the table, Jan picks on Nut, his sexuality and tries to irritate and humiliate everyone. However, Nut stands up for himself followed by Prib, Song and Gen who chime in to support his identity. Saen drags Jan out of the dinner table and, asks her why is she getting into Nut and his personal life. Saen asks Jan to behave herself, if not for her then for the so-called husband she has.

Nut too leaves the table with the excuse that he is going to find Na. But, Tofu finds him sitting in isolation elsewhere. Tofu comforts Nut when Na walks in. Nut suggests taking Na home but, Saen, Jan and everyone else comes in then. Jan creates another scene where she accuses Saen of fathering Na’s child, which is Nut. She also states that Sib called Nut a bastard because he knew about Saen and Na being lovers even after both were married to other individuals.

Nut confronts Na about Jan’s allegations in front of Tofu and Saen. Na explains how Sib was paranoid and violent whenever it came to Saen and Na which made him question Nut’s birth. This was only aggravated by the fact that Sib found it difficult to come to terms with Nut being gay. In fact, one of the incidents when forced Na to leave the house, during which she later accidentally met Saen, who made her understand how Nut being gay is a normal thing and, that she is not a bad mother.

At their hotel, Tofu tries to calm Nut by being romantic with him but, when Tofu leans in to kiss, Nut turns his head away. The next morning, Nut wakes up to an empty bed with Tofu gone. He checks his phone to find pictures sen from Tofu enjoying the sunrise. Nut soon joins him. The two talk about their feelings, thoughts and insecurities. Nut leaves the question in the air if Tofu and Tarn were lovers and, if not, then how are they connected to each other. Later we see Prib taking Tofu and Nut to Tarn’s place in hopes that if Tofu knew Tarn he might remember something from his house that will help his memory gain.

In the house, Nut finds things from high school that he gave Tarn all around the house, starting from his painting of the moon to a small cactus plant to Nut and Tarn’s photograph together. Tofu, of course, is unable to piece back together anything. He gets into a talk with Tarn’s cactus vase, which claims to have heard Tarn having an argument with a man before being hit by a vase. Then some more men had come in to pick Tarn up and, clean up the place. The vase also mentions a female voice it can recall during the incident.

This is when Jan walks in and calls out to everyone and, the vase confirms that this is the voice he had heard the day Tarn was attacked. Jan asks the trio why they are in Tarn’s house to which Saen vouches that he let them in as a favour to Officer Anik. Jan annoys them which makes the trio leave but, not before the vase gives one last piece of information to Tofu that it was Saen and Jan’s voices it had heard when Tarn was attacked.

Meanwhile, at the hotel, Na looks at a magazine interview of Tarn and, requests to visit him. When she sees him in the hospital, she is reminded of the time Tarn had come to their new house to give Nut his book. With Nut absent Na had received the book but, as she was sick she never remembered to tell him about Tarn’s visit. Nut is extremely upset with his mother and leaves.

Song and Gen approach him and talk him out of his upset state of mind wondering if he and Tarn had a chance. On the other hand, Prib helps Tofu understand where he stands in Nut’s life is all about good timing and how he should not worry about Tarn. Tofu and Nut make up after a while. However, when they return to the hotel Na is nowhere to be found. The group splits up soon and goes looking for Na. Meanwhile, we see a forgetful Na loitering around Chaing Mai.

Later the group picks up Na from the police station where Anik is in-charge. Anik informs Nut separately that Na reported that she had gone to take a walk but had forgotten her destination and everything else, which is why she was walking aimlessly. Back at the hotel, Nut asks Na about her memory loss and, Na states that she might be showing early symptoms of Alzehimers’. The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 13 ends with Nut breaking down in Tofu’s arms coming face to face with his mother’s deteriorating health.

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 13: Final Thoughts

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 13 pays equal attention to the mystery at hand and the development of the interpersonal relationship. However, at this point Tofu hiding his reality of being a teddy bear from Nut is just misleading, irrespective of how honest and true his love is. Prib’s character growth is massive, going from an annoying, harassing co-worker to being a true friend to Tofu and Nut. Hopefully, as we approach the end of this really complex yet beautiful series, we are able to walk straighter and finally get some closure.
