She asks him how he could just disappear for a month like this and why he is here now, and Gye-hoon tells her that he cannot live without her.

Gye-hoon asks to get back together with Da-hyun and she asks him to win her over if he can. He gets right to it and kisses her in the rain. The restaurant is a huge success, with people swarming in to try the delicious and aesthetic food! He is joined at the excavation by Jung-ho and Young-hwan, and Gye-hoon lets them know that he bought that land. Things go forward in their own stride until one day, the news comes in – they have found Gye-young as well as Cheol-ho’s remains. It’s a sad moment for everyone involved; even Young-hwan looks heartbroken. Gye-hoon breaks down sobbing, apologising for finding them late.

After performing their last rites, Gye-hoon and his mother have a heart-to-heart. Having found closure, she apologises for letting him grow up alone and promises to be there for him from now on. It’s a sweet moment, and Gye-hoon’s future feels hopeful. Back at Jihwa-dong, Da-hyun comforts her boyfriend, and just like that, things fall back into a rhythm.

What a great episode, guys. Emotional and wholesome, the Link: Eat Love Kill finale is filled with great moments that tie up all the loose ends and give us some amazingly hopeful situations that put a smile on our faces.

However, we don’t know why Young-hun wanted to murder people and if that’s something that he has done previously, which is my biggest gripe with the show. Although they thought to include finding the remains, they didn’t let us know whether this was Young-hun’s first rodeo or whether he was a serial killer.

Did he kill Eun-jung’s sister or what that Jin-geun? I think Young-hun’s storyline was not tapped into enough and felt a bit rushed towards the end. Actually, his introduction as the master manipulator seemed a bit confusing and weird, and the feeling stuck with me till the end because, honestly, his character just doesn’t make much of an impact in any way. Jin-geun was more menacing than him.

On the other hand, for lovers of romance, this one’s going to be a worthy watch because we got the happy endings that we have waited for. If you watched the show till the end for Gye-hoon and Da-hyun romance, then you’ve got what you were looking for. There are lots of flowers and rainbows and everything that we wanted from episode 1.

All in all, the finale was a sweet affair and a light, emotional watch. I didn’t care much about the mystery, but these characters are cute in every way possible!
