Recap Korean Drama "Kiss Sixth Sense" Episode 4

Jun 3, 2022

Kiss Sixth Sense (키스 식스 센스) is a romantic-fantasy Korean drama series directed by Nam Ki-hoon and stars Yoon Kye-sang, Seo Ji-hye, Kim Ji-suk and Hwang Bo-ra, alongside other cast members. The series has 12 episodes, each with a runtime of around an hour. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by Gatnyeo. Kiss Sixth Sense episode 4 has a runtime of 65 minutes.

After a night of debauchery with Min-hu, well… just kissing, a now-sober Ye-sool is shocked by what she has done. As she is about to run off in the morning after waking up in his bed, Min-hu just appears out of thin air and point-blank asks whether she likes him. He is unable to process how they can end up together when she doesn’t even like him. The conversation continues in the elevator but when it stops at the sixth floor, Pil-yo gets on, making the sexually charged atmosphere extremely awkward.

The awkwardness spill into the office as Min-hu continues to disbelieve Ye-sool’s abilities and annoyed, she asks him to meet her in the evening so that she can prove it to him. Meanwhile, Min-hu is confused as to how his issues have disappeared all of a sudden and wonders whether he can get rid of them naturally. Eventually, he realises that it’s probably something to do with Ye-sool.

That evening, Ye-sool kisses Min-hu’s hand a couple of times to tell him a bunch of different things that happen in the future and leaves it to him whether he wants to believe her or not. Back at home, when Pil-yo introduces himself to everyone, she gets frazzled as he shakes her hand. Overwhelmed, she takes some time away from it all when Min-hu tells her to control her emotions and keep them away from work. She must be able to focus regardless of what her hangups maybe.

That night, she comes across Pil-yo, who proposes that they go on 3 dates because she broke his stuff when they broke up… I don’t understand the logic, but sure. She rethinks what she should do about the two men in her life while working and drinking alcohol like coffee, but really can’t come to a conclusion. Meanwhile, that night, Ye-sool’s prediction comes true as an accidental bump sends Seung-taek flying into a wall, effectively making his nose bleed. Min-hu is left shell-shocked.

On the other hand, Pil-yo try to figure out why Ye-sool broke up with him all of a sudden. As she signs the confidentiality agreement for the Mopix project and immediately tries to go on a joyride in the new car. But just then, Min-hu gets there and tells Pil-yo that it’s best that he drives the car instead of him. As they go off-road and Pil-yo tries to show off his skills behind the wheel, it seems like Ye-sool’s prediction is about to come true. She realises it as well and tells Min-hu excitedly.

Meanwhile, Pil-yo takes off the cover and starts to take pictures of Ye-sool in front of the car because no one will take pictures since “no one comes there”. I like how he just gets to do these things because he’s a famous director and so the confidentiality agreement doesn’t apparently apply to him. Anyway, he gives her his grand proposal that he’s here to marry her, not just to date her so it’s fine to ignore her protests. When they come back, Ye-sool refuses to go with Pil-yo and instead drives off with Min-hu.

On the other hand, her prediction has come true and Min-hu is left very confused wondering how this is even happening. After work, he tells her that he believes her and wants to know what she initially saw about them. When she tells him everything, he proposes that they should do it that night much to Ye-sool’s confusion. However, just as he’s about to propose a condition, Ji-young stops them mid-sentence.

Kiss Sixth Sense Episode 4 Review

I almost don’t want Ye-sool and Min-hu to get frisky between the sheets just so that this sexual tension doesn’t go away. Regardless, I think Yoon Kye-sang and Seo Ji-hye shine in the series. They have the most interesting stories and apart from their special powers, their chemistry is infectious. I am glued to the screen whenever they come on. I hope their relationship comes with more conflict other than Pil-yo’s stupidity. I would really hope to see more complex situations with these two.

Now, if we talk about Pil-yo – man, he’s so annoying. He’s like those condescending people who think that the world owes them something. I might be reading too deep into it, but he just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The way he constantly approaches YE-sool and tries to make her date him is just creepy and it clearly makes her uncomfortable. The fact that he can’t take no for an answer is not cute or romantic and just sends stalker vibes – and also carrying the engagement ring in his pocket?! Who does that?!

Either way, apart from these three characters, there are Seung-taek and Ho-woo are the quintessential “friend” characters who invariably end up together. Now, whether or not they will stay together is a different issue but their romance is frothy and over-the-top and is meant to add comic relief. It’s really not all that funny but might make you chuckle here and there. However, the office people are just too much for me and are too melodramatic to watch for extended periods of time.
