Rain, Kim Bum, Uee, And Apink’s Son Naeun Talk About Their Flawless Teamwork On The Set Of “Ghost Doctor”

The cast of tvN’s upcoming drama “Ghost Doctor” are confident in their teamwork!

Helmed by “Heirs” director Boo Sung Chul, “Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors who could not be more different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, or personalities, but who end up combining bodies and spirits.

Rain stars as genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min, and Kim Bum plays silver-spoon resident Go Seung Tak. Apink’s Son Naeun will play emergency room intern Oh Soo Jung, and Uee will play neurosurgeon Jang Se Jin, who happens to be Cha Young Min’s ex-girlfriend.

Ahead of the drama’s January 3 premiere, the lead actors shared their impressions of their chemistry on set. First up was Rain, who commented, “My teamwork with Kim Bum, with whom I end up sharing bodies with, is on another level. He gives off the feeling of a little brother whom I’ve known for a long time. I think we’ll be able to show everyone a fantastic sort of back-and-forth chemistry.”

Rain added, “Although Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak have nothing in common, they will give everyone plenty of laughs with their push-and-pull dynamic, so I ask for your interest and anticipation.”

Kim Bum had nothing but compliments for Rain as he shared, “Rain and I work really well together. As Go Seung Tak is a dual role, I couldn’t shape him alone. I think that Go Seung Tak was formed through lots of discussions with Rain. He’s someone who is naturally good at expressing things in a comedic way, and thanks to the enjoyable atmosphere he brought to the set I think he was able to bring the comedy to another level.”

Uee agreed with Kim Bum, saying that Rain is the mood maker on set. She continued, “In between takes we work through our lines together and work hard to express the emotions experienced by our characters. In addition, while acting together with my fellow cast members I’m immersing myself in a very enjoyable filming process. Please look forward to the teamwork between the four of us!”

Finally, Apink’s Son Naeun shared, “Everyone is coming together and working hard for the sake of this production. As such, the atmosphere on set is really great. Kim Bum, with whom I’ve been filming the most frequently, looks out for me and our synergy while acting is really good. As such, I’m able to feel more comfortable while filming. Rain and Uee are great mood-makers who always head into filming with a pleasant attitude, so I’m getting a lot of help from them.”
