Perfect Marriage Revenge (2023) KDrama Episode 8

Nov 28, 2023

The events of the previous episode are continued in Perfect Marriage Revenge Episode 8. Yeon-hwa learns about Jung-hye’s malicious intentions. Following that, she advises that they should back out of Yoo-ra and Jung-hye’s marriage plans.

Following that, Jung-hye confronts Yeon-hwa regarding Yi-joo and whether or not her marriage contact with Do-guk will go overlooked. At this point, Yeon-hwa makes it apparent that she is siding with Yi-joo and Do-guk.

The family gathers for a supper once Tae-ja is feeling better. After Jung-wook accuses Do-guk of being responsible for his leg injury once again, Do-guk shows proof that he is innocent. This also proves that Jung-wook was behaving maliciously. Nonetheless, Tae-ja is not going to budge from her stance because she despises friction among her grandkids. She ends up destroying the evidence in light of this.

Not long after that, Tae-ja talks with Jung-wook and Do-guk. She asks Do-guk to join the Taeja Group again. Additionally, she announces that the company will be passed down to whichever brother impresses her in a year. Consequently, Do-guk consents to return to the company.

Later that day, Do-guk has a conversation with Se-hyeok, and he presents him with CCTV evidence of him getting into his house and stealing the marriage contract. Unless he can prove that Yoo-ra was involved in the crime, Do-guk says he is going to have him and his sister imprisoned.

When it comes to Yoo-ra, Se-hyeok initially refuses to blame her. Following this, Do-guk tells him that he’ll have no choice but to have him and his sister arrested. In the aftermath of this, Se-hyeok contacts Yoo-ra to seek help. However, Yoo-ra backs off and refuses to help him, leaving him feeling betrayed. As a consequence, he presents evidence linking Yoo-ra to the crime.

In the office of Tae-ja, Do-guk is made director. On the other hand, Jung-wook brings up his wife’s background in an effort to tarnish his reputation. Afterwards, Do-guk requests that the board verify the report because, at the present time, Yoo-ra, who is engaged to Jung-wook, is being held responsible for the events. As a consequence, Jung-wook feels ashamed to face the board.

Together with Yeon-hwa, Do-guk and Yi-joo go to meet Jung-hye, Jin-woong, and Yoo-ra. Following Jung-hye’s advice, Yoo-ra approaches her sister and humbly asks for her forgiveness. Nonetheless, Yi-joo is adamant about not forgiving her. On top of that, Hanwool’s Savings Bank stock has been crashing recently. Because Yi-joo promised to handle the situation but failed to do so, Jin-woong is disappointed.

In light of the financial setback his company is experiencing, Jin-woong falls sick later that day. This presents an opportunity, and Jung-hye seizes it. She manipulates Jin-woong to give her his position until he recovers. Now Jin-woong gets entangled in Jung-hye’s web.

On the other hand, Woon-jae is unable to grant Yi-joo her request for his shares when she visits him. Jung-hye has used his health condition to stop the transaction. The episode ends with Yi-joo and Woon-jae realizing that Jung-hye may have poisoned Yi-joo when she was a kid.

The Episode Review

In episode 8, matters get extremely tricky for Yi-joo and Do-guk. Nonetheless, they seem to be tackling the problems head-on as a team. This time, Jung-hye decides to deal with matters herself and manipulates Jin-woong into taking over his role.

Although it fails to wow, the episode does its customary entertaining job. Even though the plot is starting to lose steam, the drama stays intact and does a respectable job of keeping everything in check.

The show seems to have potential, so here’s hoping the plot takes off. Going forward, it will be interesting to watch how the plot develops.
