Oh Young Soo Sentenced To Probation For Indecent Assault Charges In First Trial

“Squid Game” star Oh Young Soo has been sentenced to probation at the first trial.

On March 15, the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court sentenced Oh Young Soo to eight months in prison with a probation period of two years. The court also ordered him to complete a 40-hour sexual violence prevention program.

After the sentencing hearing that day, Oh Young Soo briefly said “Yes” to a reporter’s question asking if he had any plans to appeal.

Previously in November 2022, Oh Young Soo was indicted on charges of inappropriately touching a woman’s body on a promenade in Daegu and kissing her cheek in front of the victim’s residence in mid-2017.

Oh Young Soo starred in Netflix’s hit series “Squid Game” as Oh Il Nam, who suffers from a brain tumor, and won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the TV category at the Golden Globe Awards in the United States in January 2022.
