Nam Yoon Su Confirmed For Leading Role In Upcoming Webtoon-Based Drama

Feb 9, 2022

Nam Yoon Su is confirmed to star in the new Kakao TV drama “Borrowed Body” (literal title)!

“Borrowed Body” is a fantasy mystery school romance about two completely opposite students who switch bodies. Lee Sang Yoo is an outsider who is hated by the entire school after being falsely accused of something, while Ki Da Rim is well-liked, popular, and good at both sports and academics. “Borrowed Body” is based on a webtoon of the same name written by Park Se Gye.

The drama will not only portray the fantasy element of body switching, but it will also show the sincere and passionate modern-day love of teenagers as they mature. Furthermore, the drama will also depict the mysterious events that unfold through the anonymity of the internet.

Nam Yoon Su will play the role of Lee Sang Yoo, who has no expectations from his school or his friends and hopes to complete his third year of high school without any hitches. However, he is caught in an unexpected incident when he switches bodies with childhood friend and crush Ki Da Rim. Along with acting that captures Lee Sang Yoo’s inner wounds from his childhood trauma, Nam Yoon Soo will captivate viewers with his portrayal of the fantasy romance with Ki Da Rim as well as the love triangle involving Ki Da Rim’s crush Yoon Ho Young.

Nam Yoon Su gained attention for his roles as Kwak Ki Tae in Netflix’s “Extracurricular” and Lee Hyun in “The King’s Affection.” When discussing the upcoming role, he said, “I’m really excited to act as the main character in a webtoon-based drama that already has a massive fandom. At first glance, he is an ordinary high school student, but I will do my best to show the growth of Lee Sang Yoo who carries wounds and is pained on the inside.”

The drama will be released on Kakao TV with a total of 15 episodes, each 20 minutes in duration. Filming will begin in the first half of this year.
