“Melancholia” And “Artificial City” Battle For Ratings Amidst Stiff Competition From “Tomorrow’s National Singer”

The battle for Thursday night drama ratings continues!

On December 16, both tvN’s “Melancholia” and JTBC’s new drama “Artificial City” saw their viewership ratings dip due to the overwhelming popularity of TV Chosun’s audition program “Tomorrow’s National Singer,” which airs in an overlapping time slot on Thursdays.

“Melancholia” scored an average nationwide rating of 2.3 percent for its latest episode, while “Artificial City” earned a nationwide average of 3.1 percent for the night.

Although the two dramas saw their ratings fall compared to the previous night, both “Melancholia” and “Artificial City” managed to earn higher ratings than they did last Thursday.

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s “School 2021” maintained its average nationwide rating of 1.6 percent from its previous episode.
