Key Reasons To Look Forward To Park Seo Joon And IU’s Upcoming Film “Dream”

Apr 18, 2023

“Dream” starring Park Seo Joon and IU has shared three key points for viewers to look forward to!

Created by director Lee Byung Hun of “Extreme Job” and “Melo is My Nature,” “Dream” tells the story of a group of people playing soccer for the first time for the Homeless World Cup.

1. The cast’s fantastic chemistry – A special ensemble of a soulless coach, passionless producing director, and homeless soccer team

“Dream” features a group of the refreshing characters with unique personalities, who blend perfectly while trying to achieve a seemingly impossible goal. Park Seo Joon stars as the soulless Yoon Hong Dae, a professional soccer player on disciplinary probation who unexpectedly becomes the coach of the ragtag soccer team. IU stars as Lee So Min, a producing director (PD) who is making a documentary about the team. Although she is able to perfectly pinpoint touching moments while filming, she has no passion for the work.

These two will showcase fantastic chemistry with the unpredictable team members who know nothing about soccer, but must compete in the Homeless World Cup. The players include Kim Hwan Dong (Kim Jong Soo), Jeon Hyo Bong (Go Chang Suk), Son Bum Soo (Jung Seung Gil), Jeon Moon Soo (Yang Hyun Min), Kim In Sun (Lee Hyun Woo), and Jo Young Jin (Hong Wan Pyo).

2. Legendary banter – a parade of memorable lines as expected from director Lee Byung Hun

Typical of director Lee Byung Hun, another key point to anticipate in “Dream” are the memorable lines and banter the characters will deliver. After leaving an impact with iconic lines in his past works, Lee Byung Hun will showcase the same effect in “Dream” where the characters will deliver blows quicker with their mouths than with their feet. These witty lines and rhythmical banter are sure to have viewers laughing, pondering, and relating to the story.

3. From fun to twists and touching emotion – Not giving up on a once-in-a-lifetime challenge!

The final point to anticipate are the laughs and touching emotions viewers will experience while watching the story of this inexperienced soccer team doing their best in the Homeless World Cup. Although Yoon Hong Dae, Lee So Min, and the team members all have different stories and reasons for joining the journey, they gradually become a team overtime. In particular, the scene at the Homeless World Cup at the end of their journey will capture the team’s sincerity as they give their all even when they’re lacking in skill. This teamwork extends to Yoon Hong Dae and Lee So Min on the sidelines, conveying positive energy to viewers.

Additionally, the filming location of Hungary is said to have perfected the film’s vivid sense of realism, which will increase the audience’s immersion and help fill the theater with enthusiastic support for the soccer team.

“Dream” will be released in theaters on April 26.
