Oct 29, 2019

“VIP” tells the story of a team in charge of a department store’s VIP clients and it showcases the lives of working women trying to survive in both the workforce and in their marriages. The drama got off to a great start as the premiere episode on October 28 hit 6.7 percent and 7.8 percent for its two parts, thus placing No. 1 among other dramas in the same time slot.

In the drama, Jang Nara plays Na Jung Sun, the vice-chief of the VIP task force, and Lee Sang Yoon plays Park Sung Joon, the mysterious leader of the task force. The two are also in their seventh year of marriage, and everything about them looks perfect on the outside. While living happily, they face an unexpected danger that has a huge impact on their marriage.

The first episode had a shocking ending as Na Jung Sun received an anonymous text that says her husband is seeing someone in the VIP task force romantically. This raised curiosity among viewers as to how Na Jung Sun will go about seeking the truth behind the text message.

In the stills released on October 29, Na Jung Sun and Park Sung Joon are sitting at a table, staring at each other without smiles on their faces. As Park Sung Joon picks up his phone, Na Jung Sun demands that she sees the caller. Park Sung Joon looks confused as his wife is acting out of her character.
