Idols Become Cheerleaders For Their Groups In Photos From “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships”

MBC has released behind-the-scenes photos from the Lunar New Year special of the “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships”!

Recording for several events for this season’s special took place on January 7 at the Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon. Idols took part in events including track, archery, penalty shootout, and rhythmic gymnastics, with bowling filmed on another day.

In newly released photos from the January 7 filming, the idols are seen cheering on their groupmates with their own fan light sticks and banners, watching the events, and also taking part in the opening ceremony.

This season’s “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships” will air over the Korean Lunar New Year holiday, which runs from February 4 to February 6.
