Girl’s Day’s Minah Describes The Ups And Downs Of Playing A Ghost With Memory Loss In “Delivery Man”

Girl’s Day’s Minah has teased her upcoming transformation into a lovable ghost in “Delivery Man”!

Upcoming Genie TV series “Delivery Man” will tell the story of a duo comprised of a taxi driver who is working to make ends meet and a ghost suffering from memory loss. Yoon Chan Young will play Seo Young Min, a taxi driver who runs a “ghost-only” taxi business, fulfilling their wishes while giving them a lift. Minah will take on the role of Kang Ji Hyun, a ghost who suffers from memory loss and soon finds herself catching a free ride in Seo Young Min’s taxi.

In Minah’s first stills as Kang Ji Hyun, her chilling vibe looks straight out of a horror film as she sits in the back seat of Seo Young Min’s taxi. However, the vibe is thankfully overturned almost instantly when she’s suddenly shown crouched down at the foot of the passenger seat. She looks up with the world’s most innocent expression, leaving viewers intrigued to learn more about her character.

The next photos show her adorable other side as she radiates with good vibes and encouragement for others. In one still, she beams as she peers out the car window, while the second photo shows her cheering on someone else with a stern expression.

As someone who cannot look past injustice or ignore those in need, Kang Ji Hyun naturally becomes enthralled with Seo Young Min’s business and steps up to help fulfill the last wishes of her fellow ghosts.

On why she chose to star in “Delivery Man,” Minah shared, “I figured that this would be a project through which I’d be able to make the eyes and ears of viewers happy with the lovely charms of Kang Ji Hyun and the unique setup of ‘an unidentified soul whose memory is lost.'”

To further describe her role, Minah commented, “She is the personification of ‘strong against the strong, and weak against the weak.’ She never looks past injustices and is ‘justice’ in and of itself, as she is endlessly weak towards and interested in others who are also weak. When necessary, you’ll be able to see her side of being able to accordingly tell lies. I think that aspect is what shows ghost Kang Ji Hyun as down-to-earth and someone to relate to.”

Minah continued, “Contrary to other ghost characters, the set up is that she has no memories, so I was able to act freely. At first, I had a lot of concerns as it was my first time with a ghost and memory loss plot. The director gave me courage saying that acting as myself was the the right answer and the most fun, so I was able to let go of the pressure.”

“Delivery Man” is set to premiere on March 1 at 9 p.m. KST.
