“Dr. Romantic 3” Ends On Its Highest Ratings Yet; “King The Land” And “See You In My 19th Life” Premiere To Strong Starts

SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 3” wrapped up on a new all-time high!

On June 17, the hit drama achieved its highest viewership ratings of the entire season for its finale. According to Nielsen Korea, the final episode of “Dr. Romantic 3” scored an average nationwide rating of 16.8 percent, making it the most-watched miniseries of Saturday—as well as the most-watched program in its time slot.

The finale of “Dr. Romantic 3” also earned the highest ratings of any program to air this week among the key demographic of viewers age 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 6.1 percent.

Meanwhile, two new dramas—JTBC’s “King the Land” and tvN’s “See You in My 19th Life”—got off to promising starts last night.

“King the Land,” a new rom-com starring 2PM’s Lee Junho and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, premiered to higher ratings than its hit predecessor “Doctor Cha” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot). The first episode of “King the Land” scored an average nationwide rating of 5.1 percent, a figure slightly higher than the 4.9 percent achieved by the premiere of “Doctor Cha.”

Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun’s new fantasy romance drama “See You in My 19th Life,” which airs approximately one hour earlier than “King the Land,” scored a nationwide average of 4.3 percent for its own premiere.

Finally, KBS 2TV’s “The Real Has Come!” continued its reign as the most-watched show of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 18.1 percent.
