BTS’s Jungkook Sets Billboard 200 Record + “Standing Next To You” Hits New Peak On Pop Radio Airplay Chart

Jan 28, 2024

Even while serving in the military, BTS’s Jungkook continues to make history on the Billboard charts!

For the week ending on January 27, Jungkook’s solo debut album “GOLDEN” spent its 11th consecutive week in the top 50 of the Billboard 200, where it ranked No. 44.

Jungkook is now the first Korean solo artist ever to chart an album for 11 weeks on the Billboard 200—and he has also become the first K-pop soloist to spend 23 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he took No. 28 this week.

Additionally, Jungkook’s title track “Standing Next to You” successfully remained on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 87 in its 11th consecutive week on the chart.

Jungkook also landed two songs on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States: his The Kid LAROI and Central Cee collab “Too Much” stayed strong at No. 28, while “Standing Next to You” climbed to a new peak of No. 29.

Meanwhile, “Standing Next to You” climbed back up to No. 4 in its 11th week on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, meaning it was the fourth best-selling song of the week in the United States.

Outside of the Billboard 200, “GOLDEN” came in at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 12 on the Top Album Sales chart this week.

Finally, Jungkook continued to chart multiple songs on both of Billboard’s global charts this week. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Seven” (featuring Latto) ranked No. 11, followed by “Standing Next to You” at No. 14 and “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) at No. 43. On the Global 200, “Standing Next to You” came in at No. 23, “Seven” at No. 25, and “3D” at No. 68.

Congratulations to Jungkook!
