Watch: Seo Hyun Jin And Hwang In Yeop Get Fatefully Intertwined As They Face A Slippery Slope In “Why Her?” Teaser

SBS’s new drama “Why Her?” has shared an intriguing teaser!

“Why Her?” is a mystery romance drama starring Seo Hyun Jin as Oh Soo Jae, a cold-hearted lawyer who has grown empty after only chasing success, and Hwang In Yeop as law student Gong Chan who will do anything to protect her.

Oh Soo Jae is the youngest ace partner at the leading TK Law Firm. She is a cold character equipped with a flaming desire to win and fearless self-righteousness that makes her opponents kneel before her. On the other hand, Gong Chan who great empathy that allows him to look into other people’s hearts. However, he also has a painful past that caused his fate to become twisted. Gong Chan begins to experience a change after fatefully meeting Oh Soo Jae who has been pushed out of her position to become an affiliated professor for the law school due to an unexpected incident.

The teaser starts with a glimpse of a chalkboard that reads, “Oh Soo Jae. I will never let my clients go to prison.” Oh Soo Jae becomes the lawyer of a young boy named Kim Dong Gu (Yu Gene Woo), who is accused of killing his stepsister. Her voice is gentle as she assures him, “It’s quite a mess. But I believe you.” However, despite Oh Soo Jae’s faith in Kim Dong Gu, he’s sentenced to ten years in prison. Despite the fact that the real culprit gets caught later, this incident already destroyed people’s lives.

Oh Soo Jae, who also went through her own trials and tribulations during the same period, has made a 180-degree transformation. She is no longer warm and vulnerable, and her eyes are cold and merciless as she stands in court as TK Law Firm’s ace lawyer. Oh Soo Jae proclaims, “I’m TK, and TK is me.” Her dangerous statement gets on Choi Tae Guk’s (Heo Joon Ho’s) nerves, and his eyes grow steely as his voiceover says, “She has no idea what her role is.”

Oh Soo Jae is eventually sent to work at a law school where she fatefully crosses paths with Gong Chan who is thrilled to be reunited with her. He’s nothing but warm and tender towards her, and his unconditional affection stuns her. At a restaurant, Oh Soo Jae’s friend Chae Joon Hee (Cha Jung Hwa) whispers aloud, “Is this the Gong Chan who likes you?” Oh Soo Jae hides her face in embarrassment, but Gong Chan candidly replies, “Yes, that’s right.”

Things take an interesting turn when Choi Yoon Sang (Bae In Hyuk), the second son of Choi Tae Guk, tells her, “From now on, if something happens, call me first. Not Gong Chan, but me.”

Towards the end of the clip, Gong Chan tells Oh Soo Jae, “It could get dangerous again. Don’t do anything.” His desperation to protect her and keep her safe makes Oh Soo Jae suspicious, especially when she has clearly told him to keep his nose out of her business. She asks him, “What are you?” and he looks at her in surprise, amplifying eagerness to learn about their past, present, and future.
