"Till the End of the Moon" Announces Cast

There appears to be a grain of truth to the rumours after all since a Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu reunion is indeed happening! Freshly released posters from the series no longer leave any doubt that a second collab between the two in the drama adaptation of the novel Black Moonlight Holds the BE Script is in the works. Since filming Love is Sweet, both Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu have repeatedly mentioned they would love to work together again. And with the amazing chemistry between them, that’s practically a no brainer.

Friction Amongst Fans Over Casting

A few months ago, there had already been talks that the Love is Sweet pair is gearing up for their second project in a xianxia entitled “Till the End of the Moon” 长月烬明. Whilst this is no doubt fantastic news for both actors, talks of a reunion weren’t received so warmly by some of their fans. Last month, both actor’s fan clubs released a joint statement imploring fans to chase stars rationally after rumours caused some friction amongst fans from both sides.

Now we all know some fans are notorious for being super protective towards their idols but if a joint collab is what their idols want and the chemistry is amazing too, shouldn’t they at least be supportive? A similar thing happened when Bai Lu was initially rumoured to be working with her Arsenal Military Academy co-star Xu Kai once again in Royal Feast. Unhappy fans bashed the couple pairing that show producer Yu Zheng was forced to defend the casting against the haters. Nowadays, their fans are in no longer in good terms.

Anyway, before I digress any further, here’s a sneak peak at the behind the scenes happenings for “Till the End of the Moon” which just kicked off filming on November 5, 2021.

 

In "Till the End of the Moon", Bai Lu plays Li Susu, a daughter of the Hengyang sect who ultimately sacrifices herself to rewrite history and the future. Desperate to save the world from the clutches of the demon lord Tan Taijin (Luo Yunxi), she is sent five hundred years into the past to prevent him from turning into his cruel and bloodthirsty demon persona. Li Susu returns to the past in the incarnation of Ye Xiwu, Tan Taijin’s beloved wife. The series also stars Chen Duling, Deng Wei, SNH48 member Sun Zhenni and Eddy Geng Yeting
