Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung have shared more about their chemistry in “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” with Elle magazine!
Following the modern-style pictorial that contrasts their drama characters, both actors spoke about what they’d expected from one another when they first met on the set of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2.” Go Yoon Jung first said, “I already knew that Lee Jae Wook was a good actor, but the Lee Jae Wook I saw on set showed even more stellar acting than [what I’d imagined].” She continued, “At first I was surprised by his maturity, but later I was surprised again by his loveliness and cuteness.”
Lee Jae Wook also shared generous compliments on Go Yoon Jung’s sense of responsibility as the new female lead, saying, “Even to me, it was not easy to adapt to Jang Wook’s character who is now set three years [after Part 1], but I’m sure Go Yoon Jung must have had a more difficult time. But even so, she was the one who contacted me first to suggest practicing the script together. I was impressed by her passion.”
As “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” is a unique drama of various genres that deals with martial arts, fantasy, and romance, the two actors shared similar answers when asked about the most difficult scene that they were most proud to nail. Picking action scenes as their answers, Go Yoon Jung first remarked, “There are so many scenes of the two of us and our situations are similar to each other, so naturally we tend to rely on each other a lot. When [Lee Jae Wook] has scenes with other cast members who are not me, I’d somehow become curious and wonder if he’s doing well.”
Agreeing with what Go Yoon Jung said, Lee Jae Wook added, “We really built a bond. There were even times when I’d get jealous. I have a desire that the scenes [she took] with me look the prettiest and are the most heart-wrenching in the drama.”
“Alchemy of Souls Part 2” currently airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST. More photos and full interviews of Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung will be available in the magazine’s upcoming January issue.
