BLACKPINK And BTS Nominated For 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards

 

BLACKPINK and BTS have snagged multiple nominations for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards!

On January 11 local time, the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards announced their full list of nominees for this year’s event.

BLACKPINK is in the running for four different awards, including Best Duo/Group of the Year, as well as three socially voted categories: Favorite Use of a Sample, Best Music Video, and Best Fan Army. BTS has also earned nods in the latter two categories, with Jungkook snagging a solo nomination for Best Music Video with “Left and Right,” his collab with Charlie Puth.

In the Best Duo/Group of the Year category, BLACKPINK is up against AJR; Black Eyed Peas; Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic; Glass Animals; Imagine Dragons; Måneskin; OneRepublic; Parmalee; and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

For the Favorite Use of a Sample award, BLACKPINK is nominated with “Pink Venom,” which sampled 50 Cent’s “P.I.M.P,” Rihanna’s “Pon de Replay,” and Biggie’s “Kick In The Door.” The other nominees include Beyoncé’s “SUMMER RENAISSANCE” (sampled Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love”), Chlöe’s “Treat Me” (sampled Bubba Sparxxx & Ying Yang Twins’ “Ms. New Booty”), David Guetta & Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Good (Blue)” (sampled Eiffel 65’s “Blue [Da Ba Dee]”), DJ Khaled & Drake’s “Staying Alive” (sampled The Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive”), Doja Cat’s “Vegas” (sampled Shonka Dukureh’s “Hound Dog”), Jack Harlow’s “First Class” (sampled Fergie’s “Glamorous”), Latto’s “Big Energy” (sampled Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy”), Lizzo’s “Break Up Twice” (sampled Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop [That Thing]”), Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” (sampled Rick James’ “Super Freak”), Taylor Swift’s “Question…?” (sampled Taylor Swift’s “Out Of The Woods”), and Yung Gravy’s “Betty (Get Money)” (sampled Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”).

BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” is additionally nominated for Best Music Video alongside “Left and Right” by Charlie Puth and BTS’s Jungkook as well as “Yet To Come” by BTS. They will be going up against “Anti-Hero” by Taylor Swift; “As It Was” by Harry Styles; “Calm Down” by Rema & Selena Gomez; “Don’t Be Shy” by Tiësto & Karol G; “DON’T YOU WORRY” by Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, David Guetta; “Envovler” by Anitta; and “Tití Me Preguntó” by Bad Bunny.

Lastly, BLACKPINK’s Blinks and BTS’s Army will be facing off against Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Louis Tomlinson, Rihanna, Big Time Rush, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift for this year’s Best Fan Army award.

The 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be held on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET (March 28 at 9 a.m. KST) and social voting runs from January 11 to March 20.
